Now and Later

I am really liking the coming fall trends. The animal print trend is one that is great for now as well as later. I can pair this top with a black turtle neck and add black tights and boots to this outfit and it will be perfect for a chilly fall day. I love clothes that can span the seasons!

Just Peachy

Happy Monday! I'm not digging how this outfit translates on the pictures. Oranges are not the best colors on me and it doesn't look as fitted as I'd like. It's also hard to see the cool studs on my booties. Oh well....I think I need photography lessons!

Sunny Thursday

It's another HOT one in DE today so I'm going with a sundress and sandals. Having a little cardi is essential...I don't really like my arms so I want to cover them, even if it's with a crochet number.

Midweek slump

As I was standing forever in front of my closet last night trying to decide what to wear today I came accross this skirt. It's hard to tell from the pic, but it is a wrap skirt in an eggplant color. Now that I've gotten to work, I realize why I never wore this much....as soon as you sit down it totally opens up revealing too much leg! I'll be self conscious all day now and will probably mess with it and figit all day! Oh well.

Start of a new week.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. It goes way too quickly unfortunately. I love this maxi skirt and decided it hasn't gotten enough play this summer. I love the maxi dress/skirt trend. The patterns are so awesome and interesting. Not much additional accessorizing is needed.
I was checking out some Sept. magazines this weekend and making a list of things I want for the fall. Here's a few things on my wish list:
Leopard cardigan
faux fur vest
plaid shirt
studded or strappy ankle boots
snakeskin look pumps
glitzy sequin top
What's on your wish list?
Today's outfit:
Shirt - TJ Maxx $9.99
Skirt - JCPenney - $23

Old Favorite

This dress is very old...can't even really remember when I bought it. It's a favorite of mine though and something I go to when I can fit into it! Since I've lost almost 70 lbs since last year, it fits again. Actually it's getting too big. I'm wondering if it's worth it to get it tailored. How many of you get things altered? Or do you just buy new? With so many great deals out there, I think it's almost cheaper to buy something new.

Today's outfit

I am glad it's Wednesday! Thursday is my last work day of the week. Yippee. Today I decided to dress a bit cooler. The purple print top is very sheer. I was happy to get alot of great comments from co-workers yesterday, especially on my shoes. More than one person said they need to take me shopping with them! I can do that!

Classic Business Casual

When the dress code says business casual, this is what I typically think of. It's a no fail "uniform". I've tried to kick it up a notch with the belted shirt and fun espadrilles. Sometimes I think companies should provide "examples" of appropriate attire in the workplace. I see too many tank tops and flip flops in the hallway. It's hard to be taken seriously when it looks like you're on a beach vacation!
Shirt - Kohls $3.40
Pants - Kmart $12

Check this out!

Be sure to check out Fab Finds Under $50 for her giveaway. $25 to Famous Footwear! She offers 3 ways to enter to win. I think I would put the $25 towards the Connie Black Libery boots. I'm starting to get into fall mode and I need new boots!

MICKEY Monday

Another jeans day at work. The 2nd Monday of every month we can dress casually. I decided to wear my disney gear today thad I picked up in Florida on vacation this year. It's going to be the hottest day in Delaware for the year so far....I may regret wearing jeans if it gets too hot in the office.

Nauti Thursday

I was feeling nautical today, maybe because it's raining....
I am happily awaiting my weigh in today at my weight loss group today. Last October I embarked on a weight loss plan and to date I think I have lost 68 lbs(hoping that's what the scale says today!) The past few weeks I have been running/walking with a Running club. I think the running part is going to kick start my stalled weight loss. Plus I feel fantastic after I run. Is there maybe a latent athlete in me?

Short Sleeve hoodie - NY&Co $10

Happy Hump day!

I love the combination of pink and brown...so classic. It has been really hard to dress for work these days. My office is HOT, but the conference rooms and testing rooms are FREEZING. I think sticking to skirts and just being sure to bring a cardigan is key.

Do all rock stars have stylists?

I'm going to say the answer to that question is no....at least in the case of Kelly. Last nights concert was great. My friend Char and I had great seats. Kelly is a true talent. Her voice is wonderful live and the energy was awesome. The 2 opening acts for her were great too. A woman named Krista and Eric Hutchinson. Now back to Miss Kelly and her "outfits". For the first half of the show she was wearing a sleeveless T with a pic of David Bowie. The sides were laced up. She had on a pair of skin tight bell bottoms. It was NOT a good look for her. Sorry, but David Bowie's made up face is not the most attractive for a Tshirt and her jeans were waaayyy too tight, emphasizing her pear shape too much. For the 2nd half of the show she changed her shirt to a chambray print tank and "matching" vest with gold nail head design. The vest kinda looked like a home made bedazzling project. I love Kelly's music, but I do think a make over is in order. She's a pretty girl but doesn't really have a handle on how to dress her body. On a better note she was wearing a great rocker necklace and bracelet and a chunk of bling on her finger....maybe she's just an accessories girl!

Kelly Clarkson Tonight!

I'm getting very excited about going to see Kelly Clarkson in concert tonight. She's still my favorite American Idol winner. It's really great too that I don't have to leave the state to go see her. Delaware doesn't really have many big stars performing as we don't really have any venues for it. She is at the State Fair though so it's very close by and it's alot cheaper than a concert in Philly or NJ:)

I will try to post what I wore to the show tomorrow. Maybe I can even convince my best friend Char to get in on the pic!

I've been meaning to post some of my favorite bargain websites so I mind as well do it today! I love a site called: www.dealnews.com. They show the best deals going on it pretty much every category you can think of. I usually check this site daily, or if I'm shopping for something in particular. I got a great deal on my gps by checking this site every day for a couple of weeks.

Another favorite for designer shoes is one I've mentioned before: www.poshonmain.com. They have great sales and quick shipping. I've been obsessed with Tory Burch shoes and bags lately so I check out this site alot.

I also like www.1saleaday.com this site sometimes even has free stuff(just pay shipping). I've gotten speakers for my ipod and an adapter that turns my cigarette lighter into a regular outlet for "free". They often have great deals on watches too.

Well that's it for now. Have a great weekend everyone!
